[C320-list] Simple Hose Replace? - Between sea water pump and heat exchanger

Those hoses should come from Yanmar or an OEM. There are all pre-shaped for fitting the engine and probably should be maintained that way. It'll cost more, but *you* will likely never have to change it again. Same with all the other direct engine hoses that come pre-installed on the engine.

Shop around and you'll likely find something that doesn't cause you to spit your coffee all over the keyboard when you see the price.

Subject: [C320-list] Simple Hose Replace? - Between sea water pump and heat exchanger

Howdy.

I have a Yanmar 3GM30F.

I found a slow drip coming off the hose leading out of the sea water pump.

It looks to be coming from near the clamp on to the hose. I could try to tighten up the clamp, but I think it's probably best to replace also replace the hose.

I'm guessing that since this particular hose is still flaking silver paint that it probably was factory.

I've replaced other hose runs with Shields 250 5/8" hose.

I'd like to do the same here but I was curious about the big 180 degree bend right before it enters the heat exchanger. Will shields 250 set and hold a bend like that?

Any other advice on doing this well?

Best,

Joel
