[C320-list] Fuel tank sender replacement for 2000 model

I used a smear of fuel resistant sealant, but more importantly do not over tighten the screws. They are stainless into aluminum and can easily strip the threads or even if not, warp the plate so it doesn’t seal properly.

If you just do them up with a minimal nip of the wrench then when you fill the tank to the filler cap point you can check for leaks and if needed nip them up a bit tighter.

I’ve got a figure in my mind, but can’t find out from where I got it, to check, that the torque should be about 7ft lbs.
(It’s the same problem when replacing the oil sump drain plate on a 1973 VW Beetle if that’s any use!)
