[C320-list] Height of Keel?

I just put in a new depth sounder (actually, a Garmin Panoptix on a Garmin 8610 chartplotter) on my boat and the setup gives me the option of a keel offset, which I want to use. The User Manual (8610 Manual p. 59) says to "measure the [vertical]  distance from the transducer to the [bottom of the] keel." The words in brackets are my interpretation of the instructions. In my case, the transducer is mounted very close to the centerline of the boat, just ahead of the keel, so the height of the keel should give me a pretty accurate offset.

Sailrite has the keel itself as 4’ 3”. Does that sound right for an offset? Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.
