[C320-list] NMEA Advice?

I’ve got #1037 2005 C-320 and I was pretty confident that I had NMEA2000 based on the connector on the iCOM m-506 vhf, until I read the manual. Seems it can be either 2000 OR 0183. (I’m no longer at the boat or I could read the config.)

So.. How can I tell which one I have and where is the backbone likely to be on my C-320?

The point is I need to add the new AIS transponder.
If it’s NMEA 2000 can I daisy chain off the existing connection to the VFH or does it need to connect directly to the backbone?
