[C320-list] C320-list Digest, Vol 3471, Issue 1

Ditto what Dave said. I continually had a little water in the bilge which annoyed me. I took a used plastic one serving cereal cup (Raisin Bran Crunch to be exact) and wire tied it to a hose under the sink. I set the overflow hose in it. Once a month or so I dump the water in the cup and the bilge is always dry.

It turned out it was fresh water entering the bilge from the hot water tank pressure relief valve bleeding off excess pressure and water from the expansion of the water in the hot water tank when turned on.? So now we just have a small plastic water bottle under the galley sink intercept that fresh water.? We put the check valve overflow hose into that bottle.? We have a dry bilge now and we just empty that plastic bottle periodically.?

It?s pretty obvious how to take the lenses off their hinges, but it?s not so obvious how to remove the dogs from the bottom of the lenses. The dogs appear to have a flush, round plastic cap in their centers, and I?m guessing that if I remove that cap, Ill find a screw or nut that removes the dog from the lens, so I can transfer it to the replacement that I have purchased.

So, my questions are: Am I right about the cap covering the screw or nut that holds the dog in place? If so, how does one remove the cap? And, if I am on the wrong track, how do I remove the dog? Thanks for your help.

When you reassemble, make sure everything is clean, make sure the o-ring is in good shape (or new), and lightly grease the o-ring with waterproof grease.? The center plastic caps covering the single screw were a real pain to remove.? I did it with a razor blade in an attempt to not damage them.? After I finally got them off, I did not replace them ?. the visible screw does not bother me.?
