[C320-list] Fusing the windlass??

Yes there is a switch on the starboard Settee near V-berth but a switch isn't a (Safety) fuse. Something that draws that much current should be fused. If nothing else than to protect the wire.   IMHO
I since found my manual for the VC500 windlass.  For 12V working load is 80-120 amps.  At Stall is 305 amps. (According to the manual).  It is powered by a 4awg wire.
FWIW. My washdown is wired to that Windass switch so it comes on with the windlass. I still have a switch in the anchor locker for my old washdown.  I plan to connect up it so I will have a switch in the anchor locker for the washdown.  Maybe later this summer???

Thanks,

I thought that was the purpose of the windlass switch in the salon near
bulkhead for the head. It is on-off like the main batter switch selector.
Just my two cents.  Brian. s/v Serenity #1075
