[C320-list] New Dodger

If you live in Seattle, the premier dodger maker is Iverson in Olympia. They cover a lot of territory and will come to your boat, pattern the new dodger, measure for all of the clearance needs, build it at their shop, come back to your boat and install it. Their dodgers are of the highest quality and a patented design. Compared to the original Catalina dodger that we had, the Iverson is a Cadillac vs. the original chevy. They have a website with many pictures, including installations on a Catalina 320 in their gallery. The downside is they are very expensive, and very busy. Typically, you get on their list and wait about 6 months or more for them to get to you. But, they are worth it in my opinion. Their design avoids any framing poles in the field of view as they make the dodger curvature on each side. Most people go for both the dodger, the bimini over the helm and then get the panels for full enclosure. This is what we did. We sail with the dodger and bimini in place, but have the option to zip the other pieces in at a destination to create that much more liveable space. We love our new dodger and highly recommend the folks at Iverson. If you go walk the marina docks in Seattle, you will see Iverson dodgers on many sailboats. If you aren’t in a hurry, and can afford the price, you will be very happy with their work.
