[C320-list] Garhauer EZ Glide Genoa Car system...

Hi,
Here are my suggestions. I assume you got the swivel jam cleats as well? If so:

- 70' Samson LST 5/16" (there is so little tension on these, the small diameter is perfectly fine (you'll see). If you go larger, it's just more bulk and easier to jam up in the blocks.

I cut 70' in half and did eye splices for the forward attachment point for Pat Tormey's C320. With 35', you have enough to tie the tail end to the back loop of the car and use that to pull it back without having a huge pile left over to deal with. He'll chime in on how well that part worked out after using it for a year.

Bungies really don't work, or last b/c of the UV in my opinion. What'll eventually happen is that you'll snap the bungie because you'll pull the car way forward and forget to loosen the bungie first. Sounded like a good idea but the reality was a lot different in my experience.

Subject: [C320-list] Garhauer EZ Glide Genoa Car system...

Hey All!
I bit the bullet and bought myself a birthday present... :)Tired of trying to push the Jib sheet down with my foot while dancing a jig moving the car!
I ordered the EZ Glide hardware from Garhauer but I need to order the control lines and bungee for it.I forgot to measure the track length this weekend...Anyone got a tape measure and can send me the length?Or better yet, anyone with the system have a length they like? They recommended 5X the track length plus line into the cockpit...Also, Line thickness... It takes either 5/16" or 3/8" they said. I would lean towards 3/8 for better hand feel/control.What thickness do you all prefer?
Tanx in advance for your help....
