[C320-list] Fuel Tank Sender Replacement

I have determined my fuel tank sender is *kaput *and ordered a new one from
Catalina Direct.  But I notice that the old sender is located under part of
the fiberglass above the tank.  It looks like I will have to cut the strap
holding the tank in place and move the tank so that I can remove the old
sender.  I may even have to cut some of the fiberglass around the tank.

Has anyone done this before?  Did you have to cut any of the fiberglass to
move the tank enough to access the sender?  What did you replace the old
hold-down strap with?
