Great ideas!
I have one standard 12VDC plug in otherwise I have added USB ports into all of the rooms running off accessories. I also converted a few 120VAC outlets to those with the USB chargers so that I can run all of my devices.
I use this fan while at sea and I can clip it anywhere. I love it! It has a lithium battery and can plug into USB to charge. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L4GLJZD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Jack,
I love the fan. What a difference. I was wondering where you spliced the wire in. Did you do it at the fixtures? I'm thinking about using a 5.5mm barrel plug, 18awg duplex marine wire, with a inline atc fuse. Then I can abandon the bulky 12v cigarette lighter connectors. What type of velcro are you using? The fan mechanism is pretty heavy.
