[C320-list] Lake racing anyone?

But boy, that midwestern water is very cold to a Floridian. When I was a teenager in Chicago, we would go to Rainbow Beach on the South Side and keep our beer cool in the water for much of the summer.

I would pick Lake Geneva without knowing much about the others because
of the nice summer weather. I went to graduate school at the University
of Wisconsin, and Lake Mendota in Madison WI was a wonderful place to
sail in the summer. Can't comment on the others, but sailing on Mendota
delayed my PhD for at least a year. There is some keelboat sailing there
but it's mostly high performance scows and smaller dinghies. Another
large Wisconsin lake with sailing is Winnebago.
