Hi Jack, I have seen Facet-Purolater Gold-Flo or their predecessor (Bendix) fuel pumps used on Catalina 30s.  see at https://www.facet-purolator.com/gold-flo/
They are I believe available in a variety of pressure ranges.  And they are fairly quiet compared to some other electric fuel pumps.

I am contemplating the same as you having had a diaphragm mechanical pump fail (on a Beneteau with Volvo diesel) and had to do emergency substitution of an electric pump from and auto parts store in order to get home.  I later tidied every thing up and kept the electric pump in parallel to the diaphragm pump as a back up.

Hope this helps

Subject: [C320-list] Electric fuel pump for Yanmar

I’m thinking of installing an electric fuel pump on my Yanmar 3gm30 both as a backup and a relatively easy way to polish the diesel in the tank.

I know how to do the job, but I’m stumped as to how to select the correct pump. Any suggestions? I know others on the list have done this?
