[C320-list] Bilge pump float switch

This past weekend on a few occasions our bilge pump turned on but did 
not shut off even after the bilge was empty. (It probably turned on 
because I was messing with the knotmeter impeller, but that's another 
story.) Looking at the switch in the bilge, it's literally a black box. 
I've never messed with it before and it isn't clear how to check for 
something caught or interfering that might cause it to not shut off. In 
both cases turning the bilge pump off at the breaker for a little while 
seemed to solve the problem at least temporarily. Any thoughts or 
recommendations for what might be wrong and how to fix it?
