[C320-list] Secondary Fuel Filter Bleed Nut Leak

This is our second season with Vega. After replacing my primary and secondary fuel filters I noticed a small amount of diesel is leaking in to the pan under the motor. Upon inspection it was coming from the bleed nut on the secondary fuel filter on the motor. Just a tiny amount seeping out around the nut and washer. I tried tightening the nut but it won’t tighten down all the way.

I ordered some replacement nylon washers thinking that might solve the problem but if it is really stripped then it looks like will I have to replace the entire filter body. Anyone else ever have this problem? Should I just order a new filter body now?

I always top off and add Howes diesel treatment before storing her for the winter and our fuel dock has good quality fuel. I replace both filters yearly but was wondering how often should I replace them? The Racor says it has a 300 hour lifespan which is more than 2 seasons for me.
