Thanks for that comment Jack. When we were cruising the Sea of Cortez we ran the engine at 2000 rpm to conserve as fuel stops were few and far between. That only resulted in significant carbon build-up in the exhaust elbow which seriously restricted our rpms. Fortunately we had a spare and replaced it in Santa Rosalia. I’m going to have to find the fuel consumption chart you referred to. In my experience, the numbers appear quite accurate.
