[C320-list] Cutless Bearing Project

Troy, there are two Allen (hex) screws in the strut. That have to be backed out. There might even be two screws on top of one another. Normally there is only one!

Read the instructions that come with the tool and review the tool pieces. Lay them out on your table as if your doing the project at the boat. This will save you time at the boat.

This project can be done in a couple of hours if the Allen screws are out ahead of time. I cannot remember the screw size or if they are standard or metric.

Good luck a very easy project with this tool set.

You need to be a member and log into the website to see the form. It is under the tab "C320 Resources”. Fill it out and the tool loaner administrator will get ahold of you to work out shipping. When I used the tools, Bruce Stumpp was the administrator. You will need to pay shipping both ways and that isn’t cheap, but it was still worth it. I was able to hang onto the tools for a couple of weeks and Bruce will tell you if you should send the package back to him or on to another member.
