Rod-

If you get stuck, give Chuck O'Malley a call.

Here is what we do on Hull #514. We only remove the stack pack and sail,
not the boom which is another approach.

Remove all reef lines.
Open the slug gate
Remove all battens. I do this as I'm flaking the sail nicely into the bag
and allow the slugs to escape the gate. Their are ties in your sail bag so
you can secure the main inside. Use them to keep the main in one place, if
they aren’t long enough, extend them with sailties.
Untie the back of the bag which is most likely tied to your topping lift
shackle.
Untie the front of the bag.
Remove the outhaul pin and remove the clew from the shackle, repin the
shackle and outhaul wire.
Unzip the sailbag lower the lazy jack and untie the jacks from the line.
Secure line to the mast (don't lose that line).
Throw the lazy jacks into the sailbag.
Now you should be able to simply move the bag to one side of the mast and
slide the whole thing forward off the boom.
If you can't get the entire sail and bag off the boom you can first remove
the two long poles in the bag and then sorta fold the whole deal up as you
get it past the mast.

Once you have it all off the boat, lay it all out nicely and fold to your
liking. Or...just leave it in the bag and store below. We don’t so this,
I like to get as much stuff off the boat as possible to make way for winter
projects.

Good luck-

Troy
