Dan,

Although it serves the purpose of a weep hole, I wound not use that description.  It is more of a slot, or rather slots that are located between the oil seal and the water seal that circle the shaft.  From your description I think you are looking in the right location.  By the way as noted in my previous post WindSwept is 1995 # 246 so I guess you could say they are "sisters".

    CaN anyone with this diesel confirm where the weep hole is , I did not see it in diagram. There is no one hole but what looks like 4 large openings 2 on top of pump two on bottom just want to make sure these are the weep holes which are leaking.
