[C320-list] New Issue--Replace the hose between the exhaust mixing elbow & muffler

Heat and dishsoap lubrication should help.  Alternatively, use a short hump hose (soft and flexible) in concert with a short section of the regular wet exhaust hose (coupled using a short fiberglass union). Catalina Direct has the hump hose.  It is not long enough by itself to extend from the muffler inlet to the exhaust elbow (keep in mind I am talking about my Perkins engine).

I Used the heat gun technique as well. Use it on the low setting and heat the hose  extending a few inches from the end. It will stay warm and flexible enough to get it attached..
