[C320-list] Pre-Purchase Survey Recommendations - Need Advice

Mike:  Only speaking from personal experience.  I purchased our Harmony 3 years ago and paid for 3 surveys on 3 different boats before finding "the one."  I probably could have avoided one or two of those surveys if I wasn't in such a hurry.  It was an expensive lesson (that lead me to do my own "pre-survey survey" by myself, my camera, etc.)   I'm only mentioning as a way to put out there the possibility of walking away from any boat/deal that doesn't make you absolutely "joyful"  in the possibilities for the purchase.  In this case either embracing the work to be done by yourself or making sure you find a yard that you are sure will take care of the list of to do's, at the right price.
This boat seems to have many more issues than average.  When I was looking I saw about 10 boats in-person and none of them had the number and kind of issues listed by your surveyor.  I have highlighted below the items that would give me concern because of either the cost of repair or the possibility that it points to other possible hidden problems.  Good luck in your search.  Neil Kornblatt Harmony #973 2004

Mike,
Did you say you want a family sailing boat? This one sounds like months
(at least) of maintenance work before it's ready to sail with a family.
