[C320-list] Perkins M30 Injection Pump

Can anyone tell me where the bleed screw (or screws) is located on the Perkins M30 injection pump? I have been bleeding the pump at the inlet location, but I do not think that is completely clearing the pump. I ask because, after installing rebuilt fuel injectors (by a local diesel shop), my engine is idling high. It cuts off if I throttle down to the recommended RPM, and certainly shuts off if I put it in gear at the minimum RPM (1,000 for the Perkins). I just spoke to the diesel shop and they said I need to pull the injection pump, they will investigate, prepare a condition report and give me a cost estimate to rebuild.

The diesel shop said that I am incorrect in my thought that it is still getting air and that an engine that starts and runs, just not under load, is an engine that probably has an injection pump issue and not an air leak issue.

So, does anyone know if the inlet screw is the only bleed screw for the pump? Am I correct that the pump is the 4” by 5” (approximately) rectangle? Any thoughts regarding my lack of RPMs under load being an injection pump issue?

Thanks,

Jeff
