[C320-list] LOOSING THE HALYARDS AND SHEETS

Kindly let us know what trawler you decide on. 
Over the years we have modified our sail plans quite a bit. Originally I’d do everything I could to treat the plans like a sailboat should; Tacking on windward trips and floating around waiting for a breath to appear. Now I mostly motorsail with the main up when faced with a head-on wind and never just float around on windless days.  I also pay much greater attention to the WX forecasts and spend more time in quiet coves waiting for the winds to abate. We are also in our 70s, but are still blessed with reasonable agility, but our sail handling abilities are starting to weaken. Not going to give up on our 320 tomorrow but as many have said, the seed has been sown. I’ve even committed the sin of looking casually at trawlers on the market; Something in the 30’ range.
