Hi Scott:

Assuming it’s a Dometic Cold Machine, there are many dealers around who should be able to furnish you will a replacement. As I remember, they’re fairly inexpensive. I had one go out under warranty. Dometic shipped one to me quickly.

Also, if I remember correctly, Dometic is headquartered in South Florida, or at least has a big office there. You could visit them on your way south.

   You can try to clean it with electrical contact cleaner BUT There are
   much better solid-state replacements available.

   It can be jumpered out from the controller attached to the compressor
   but that will be only on or off

   I need to verify the thermostat is working.   Seems to be always on
   max. We can sort of regulate by turning power on/off but a pain.
   Way to test?  If bad, replacement?
   It could be a varistor?? So could maybe put ohm meter while changing
   know?
   Not major issue but if time permits....
