[C320-list] Companionway hatch repair

I have a related question.  I am refinishing the companionway hatch boards.  Does anybody know if they are solid or is it just a veneer on the face.

Does anyone know what hardwood Catalina used for the companionway hatch-boards?

The lip on the bottom edge of my top board has split away and I would like to make a repair by rebating in a new piece. But in order to get a good match I need to know what wood it is.

Teak? Iroku? Idobu?
