Thx Chris- I guess I could try a single line for #2, it definitely would be simpler- can tell me how your single line is routed at the inboard end? Also, any chance you still have the old cars?

After sailing it a bit, and reading through the c320 archives, I decided to change the rig a bit - I adding a Harken 57mm Swivel Air Block at each cringle, attached using an 8mm dyneema loop to a 1.25” ring on the other side. I also pulled the existing “car” out of the boom to inspect - it looked ok so I lubricated it and slipped it back in. The new setup works well - Sets evenly, snugly and with very little friction going in or out.

First, I’d like to use the same kind of in-boom car since it's really simple, robust (’98!), and proven not to foul. Problem is I can’t find one anywhere. Could use two shackled blocks as others have suggested, but I worry that they may be more prone to fouling.

The first reef is terminated by passing the end through the hole in the outboard boom cap and made fast with a figure eight knot. There is no obvious place to terminate the second internal reef line.
