[C320-list] Water heater

The only thing I will add is to be prepared to catch the coolant. It might be helpful to have two brass plugs that you can use to put in the hose when you remove it from the water heater, holding it in place using the hose clamp that you just loosened. This is, of course, if you plan to pull the water heater out to inspect it.

Mine was leaking and I simply pulled it out without replacing it. However, the process is straightforward once you do as Chris Burti suggested. FWIW - The only visible sign that mine was leaking was a bit of rust at the seam on the edge of the outside of the water heater. The other sign was a water pump that kept cycling even though no faucets were open. I pulled the drawers and the cabinet face then I just sat there and watched the water leak.

The sealed aluminum box has no easy access. I thought about cutting it apart, but at that point I had already replaced it due to the highly suspected leak, so I thought, while I’d like to know, is it really worth the effort? My conclusion was probably not…..
