[C320-list] [weaver dinghy davits

The Weaver davits have two big advantages.

One is that the dinghy doesn’t add to windage, which is already substantial on our boats because they are so large. (I’ve had people think my boat was a Catalina 38.)

The other is that it doesn’t add to the length of the boat by much. Many marinas charge by overall length, so standard davits with a dinghy would force me into the next size up slip, adding $100 or so a month at my marina.

Overall, I’m very happy with Weaver davits, although I have a perpetual problem of the patches on the dinghy partly peeling around the edges, no matter what I use to glue them.

I have had the garhauer Davits for 20 years as many at my club do. They are strong and excellent.
