corp of engineers dredged narrows to 9' x 75' in 2018. Knapps Narrows marina has notes for entry / exit on website.  Bob no. 209

i went thru Knapps Narrows from Bay side no problem.  new green marker, was red, just changed to green, keep green to port of course.  June  18th.  Bob no. 209

Yes went through twice last weekend.    The key is to maintain contact with
folks that have local knowledge of how the shoaling is shifting there.
Currently when coming from the bay you can stay inside the channel as
normal until you pass the last green day mark before 4a.   I want to say
that the last green day mark before 4a is G3 but…it seems like the
numbering on the actual  ATONs are not consistent with the charts.   Once
you get to that mark head directly toward 4a.   Folks that draw closer to 6
feet are actually taking 4a tight to port, but we didn’t need to do that
and kept it 5 feet to starboard.  Once past 4a. You have to mirror the
distance from the rip rap on the south side for about 100 yards and then it
seems to be fine.   We went through with the tide at .75 and never saw less
than 7 feet of depth.   Needless to say, I've definitely saved that track
on my chart plotter.
