Hi Louis,
Its a really good question, and there have been some other chats on this
topic.  But as you mention, technologies are changing all the time.  I am
also nearing end of life for the flooded 4D batteries on Destiny.  I will
most likely switch to AGM 4D batteries.  The choice really depends on your
needs, but for me this seems to be the best performance to price option.
AGM batteries have a larger usable storage, and the batteries have better
life expectancy than flooded batteries, and they are commonly available.
