[C320-list] Whisker pole attachment?

 One quick thought -- check the yacht racing rules and your local rules committee.  If I remember correctly, a whisker or spinnaker pole must be attached to the mast.  The attachment point can be either fixed or adjustable, but it must be on the mast.

Couple of thoughts.  If you connect the pole on the deck or other similar
low point, the pole will be pointing up along similar load-lines as the
sheets and with nothing to pull down the pole may head for the sky under
load.  And second, can your pole be adjusted short enough?
