[C320-list] Intermittent fresh water flow

There are three things I do when I recommission my water system.

First, I use an air compressor and hook up to the sink and back pressure with air to blow out any residual antifreeze. Anything that is in the hot water tank is drained out through the bottom drain.

Next, I then cycle about 2 to 3 gallons of water through each tank a couple of times to flush out any residual antifreeze.

Finally, I connect a water hose from the dock to the galley faucet and backflow the entire system using the marina water. This way I can flush everything out without having to use the pump system. I beg for the hot water side by opening both: hot water valves on the sink. This allows me to fill the hot water tank and flush everything including the cockpit shower. This is handy as the hot water tank is usually the hardest thing to purge. You can use both the hot water and drain and the high pressure relief valve to help purge antifreeze, and air out of a hot water tank.

For good measure, I add a quart of hydrogen peroxide to each tank. I add a third quart into a hot water tank by connecting it to the tank drain. With the system turned off and the head sink hot water on, I can force the hydrogen peroxide through the drain and into the hot water tank. for the connection, I took an old cap from the hydrogen peroxide and added a fitting that would go into the hot water tank drain hose. if you hold the peroxide bottle high enough, it will gravity through the system. However, I usually assistant it by squeezing the bottle, then loosening the cap to add air to the bottle and squeeze more.

Then, all of a sudden the water stopped abruptly (unlike the usual sputtering and spitting as the water gets low). The pump continued to run, but no water was being pumped. The tanks were not empty.
> I visually examined the pump and checked the filter. I saw nothing that seemed wrong. I shut off the water pressure for a few minutes and when I turned it back on, the water flowed fine. I turned the water at the sink off and on several times during the day, and once or twice, the pump would run, but no water flowed until I had turned the water pressure and the faucets off and on a couple of times. The next day, I turned on the water pressure and the water flowed fine. The third or fourth time I turned on the water pressure and the faucets, the pump ran, but no water flowed from the faucets. Now, the pump runs, but no water comes out. I think I can hear the faintest gurgling sound from the faucet for a second or two, but no water. When I shut off the water pressure and turn on the faucet, it sputter/spits out about two or three table spoons and that's it. The pump is running but there is no water flowing.
