[C320-list] Toilet paper or no toilet paper in the head?

SOMEWHERE I read an article that said marine TP didn't use the water-soluble paste as a binder that home TP uses.
Which is why it doesn't get gummy and dissolves quickly .

For the definitive information here is the Practical Sailor reference

Like many of you, I/we try to restrict #2 to Shoreline relief. TP preference is quilted Northern or any 2 ply that HAS TO BE MARKED: "Septic Safe." As a 20 year live aboard, this has stood the test.

We don’t use regular TP as it takes to long to dissolve. You can by boat/RV TP at Walmart in their RV supply Automotive section. It dissolves quicker. You can buy the same at West Marine but it will cost double. We have used it I. Our boats for over 15 years and no problems. However, we try to only do #1 on the boat with #2 as emergency.
