[C320-list] Intermittent Tachometer Operation

Hi,

I have an 07 320 with a Yanmar 3YM30 engine. 

The tachometer is intermittent in operation where at times the needle goes back to zero while the engine is running. 

I think the tachometer runs off the alternator, but not sure. Wiggling wires on the back of the alternator doesn’t seem to fix the problem. 

I have also cleaned all connections in the back of the tachometer. 

Any suggestions as to what could be the problem.
