Subject: Re: [C320-list] Wisker Poles
Tom,
We race our C320 fairly competitively in the JAM class. In 2021, we bought
a Forespar LC 10-18, which is the recommended pole for the boat in
normal winds. We switched to a LC 12-22 last year since we had suffered a
broken pole in higher winds. It works well for us but is a lot to
heft around on the fore deck; I think it is about 10 lbs more than the
10-18. We keep it on chocks on the stanchions. Other than the topping
lift, we made no changes to the standard rigging. The whisker pole has
made a huge difference when going downwind and is highly recommended!
