[C320-list] Deck diesel fill cap

I am VERY forgetful so I label everything. I made large labels for "WATER" and "DIESEL" with different color font and background. They are 16 years old and look like new. I used the same type of labels on the multi-line cleats and they work great, especially for guests.

One question though, the chain that retains one of my caps broke. Does anyone have an idea how to reattach without removing the entire receptacle?

I don't know about anyone else's, but the caps on the fill pipes are plain, unmarked. The collars of the fill pipes on the deck are marked "diesel" and "water" respectively. I don't like the idea that a water and diesel fill pipe are right next to each other even though they are marked. I like the idea of a green cap for the diesel fill to avoid any mistakes.

 All good options. Thanks everyone.

Rich’s idea seems easiest but, knowing me, I suspect I would forget and pour water in the fuel tank. 🤪

I did not mind because I also wanted the colored caps to make sure I did not make a mistake and put water into the diesel tank. I used part # Z2971 (diesel) and part #Z2970 (water) from CD. It was a pretty quick swap, and about a quarter of the price of the stainless caps/pipes.

I searched Catalina direct and Catalina parts with no success. Catalina Direct sells the stainless caps with the pipes but don’t see the need to replace all but may have to.
