Mine goes all the way down to rest on the wooden blocks. The insert is then flush with most of the seat cushion, except that the edge of the seat cushion is a bit raised relative to the rest. If the seat cushion had been made flat the bed would be perfect.

I will check but the problem is i don't think my table comes in contact with the wood blocks (my friend here with a newer 320 also just said the same).

Don’t do that! The table is supposed to be supported at three points when fully down. The other two are the wooden blocks attached to the fiberglass part of the seats. If you don’t lower the table all the way then the post will take all the weight and any significant off- center loading risks damage to the table top where it attaches to the post.

So, it does not form a nice flat expanded bed. We wind up putting items (blanket, etc.) beneath the filler cushion to try to even it out. I suppose i could push the table down just enough to make it level and turn the knob/lock, but I was concerned the table would slip down when weight is placed on it (the knob doesn't seem to lock into a hole in the post to keep it at the desired level.
