[C320-list] Deck light

I’ll tell you which light NOT to use.  I just replaced deck light on my 1995 Catalina 320 (hull number 1067977) yesterday with a Hella Marine 8504 combination mast/flood light.  Had I not been launching the boat in a couple of days, I would have returned it for something better. 
The instructions were horrible and made no sense (after having multiple people much smarter than me read them make sure it wasn’t just me).   The instructions were only for the mast light and gave no indication of how to connect the flood light portion of this combo light. There were no videos or other instructions anywhere online, to include Hella’s website, and the only phone number to call was a New Zeland number and only to be used for NZ enquirers.  The “diagram” in the box consisted of a blueprint like template that gave no indication of how wiring connections should go.  Since I only had 3 wires, you would think this would be easy to figure out, but “we” (other experienced boaters) barely figured it out (we think…guess we’ll see once the mast is up and connected to power).  
I’ll be writing a review on Defender to warn others away from this product, but didn’t want to see my fellow Catalina owners make the same mistake I did with this product.  Such a shame since the product looks good from what I can tell…just the instructions are horrible.
