[C320-list] Gypsy

I haven't done it (yet) but I was told you can "partially" protect it by putting an old bicycle inertube on it.  Have to be an older large tube. Think it might bunch up but may try it one of these days (as I age).  Just manhandle mine.  Upper body workout underway.  Good luck.

With a Gypsy it just feeds it too the bottom over the top. Also put a
remote on it so it runs both ways.

We use the capstan for rope?tailing it, and then guide the chain into the chain wheel after all the rope is in. It does take a stop. However, in the Gulf (and San Juan) Islands, 98% of the time we anchor on the chain only. Straight out and in?in the chain wheel.

Again, the standard Maxwell 500 does not have a gypsy for chain. Yet some people apparently use it for chain. I'm curious as to how they do it.

We use the capstan for rope?tailing it, and then guide the chain into the chain wheel after all the rope is in. It does take a stop. However, in the Gulf (and San Juan) Islands, 98% of the time we anchor on the chain only. Straight out and in?in the chain wheel.
