“Blast on the Bay”
2006 Catalina 320 IA National Regatta and Rendezvous
September 8,9 & 10 2006


The officers of C-320 IA, The Coronado YC and the San Diego Regatta Crew
cordially invite all Catalina 320 owners, families, and supercargo to join
us for three days of sailing, fun and camaraderie on San Diego Bay.  All
Activities will take place at Coronado Yacht Club in beautiful Coronado, CA;
at the head of Glorietta Bay; 1631 Strand Way, Coronado, CA 92118, (619) 435

There will be great activities including a technical discussions on Friday
afternoon from about 1PPM to 4PM, boat open houses, cocktail parties, races,
a San Diego Bay Cruise on Sunday, and the National Banquet on Saturday
night. The banquet speaker is Gerry Douglas the designer of the C-320. A
full listing of the activities will be posted on the web and updated
monthly.

Please note the Registration deadline is August 1, 2006. The Registration
Form and Schedule is found at our web site www.catalina320.com.  Please
register in advance since this will be used to plan the meals and
activities. The polo shirts are really great so even if you are not coming
please order some, they are $20.00 each.  Over the left breast is the
monogram of the crossed burgees of C-320 and CYC with Coronado 2006 under.
No person will be served or admitted to any activity without a badge that
will be provided at check in since CYC is a private club and California has
very strict liquor laws.  

The menu for Friday is sizzling Beef  & Chicken Fajitas w/Tortillas, Spanish
rice, Frijoles, Chips, and fresh fruit Salad.  On Sunday the gala will have
Salad, either a Petite Filet with Béarnaise Sauce or Grilled Salmon, desert
and coffee.  In addition CYC will be offering Bag lunches as indicated on
the Registration form for Saturday and Sunday. For the selection is; Ham and
Cheddar, Turkey and Swiss; Roast Beef and Jack cheese.  They also come with
chips, fruit and drinks.   The galley at CYC will be open at 10:00am and
will offer sandwiches, also sandwich shops and deli’s are with in walking
distance of CYC.

Visiting yacht berthing will be provided by CYC at no extra charge for 3
days; but members must be flying their Yacht Club Burgee or the C-320
Burgee. The CYC Port Captain will coordinate slip arrangements 619.435.1848.


Vehicle parking is available at the CYC West Lot on Strand Way, to the right
of the main entrance and on the street; note: the main lot is for members
only. If you are staying at the Glorietta Bay Inn you will not need a car,
as it is one block from CYC.  The taxi cost is about $20.00 from the San
Diego Air Port to GBI.

Again Note: Rooms have been reserved at the Glorietta Bay Inn.  PLEASE MAKE
YOUR RESERVATIONS DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL.  The rooms will be held on a
first serve first call basis until August 1st .  The rate is $144 per day,
which includes a great continental breakfast.
