The long screws actually screw into the lower aluminium casting after passing through a loose casting above it.  Just a suggestion but maybe you could take advantage of the differential in expansion rates between aluminiun and s/steel and try heating the lower casting in the vicinity of one of the screws with perhaps a rubber hot water bottle half filled with boiling water.  If you can get one loose I would then move diagonally opposite and try another.  The coefficient of linear expansion of aluminium is approximately twice that of steel and it's thermal  conductivity is two and a half times as much so the aluminium will get hotter than the steel screw.
   Any way it's worth a try if all else is failing
