[C320-list] Lifeline replacement

I've always used denatured alcohol on my lifelines. It doesn't seem to degrade the vinyl. I wipe them down twice a season and they look pretty good.

  Well,

Probably so, but brush cleaner is intended to be used (I believe) on
paint brushes with synthetic bristles. Given the price of good brushes, it
wouldn't do well to be destroying the brushes in the process. I'm no
chemist, but that looks a lot like the label off a package of twinkies.

  Ken,
After reading Bill's reply I wonder if this stuff takes off the shiny
finish of the fenders ? The reason I ask is that I got carried away with
some 'industrial strength' cleaner on my shore power cord a few years ago,
it attacked the plastic, and was 'terminally sticky'
after that. Any special care needed to use this stuff ?

I managed to find a spec.sheet on Jasco Brush Cleaner. I can see why it is
effective - solvents, solvents and a few solvents thown in.

  Jeff:

Have you ever tried Jasco brush cleaner? It cleans life lines and
  fenders in
seconds. I used to complain about cleaning life lines till I tried
  Jasco.
