Since my hull # is only 2 away from you, I must ask:

Is there a specific reason you are replacing the cutlass bearing at this time, ie. noise, vibration, hard stop? or is it preventative maintenance? How many hrs do you have on the current bearing?

Do you anticipate the need to drop the rudder to do so?

For those that are replacing their cutlass bearing I found a good source.  I couldn't believe it when I went on the WM site and discovered that they had jacked the price of the Trellex-Morse BLACKFISH cutlass bearing from $79.99 to $89.99.  I just ordered the same bearing from www.boatersdiscount.com for $40.14 plus shipping.
