Annie: Transducers are cheap compared to the rest of your electronics.
Letting the pre-installed transducer dictate the other choices is
letting the tail wag the dog. Consider purchasing an easy-to-install
inside-the-hull transducer for your Garmin device and just disconnect
the Raymarine one. The Garmin transducer can't connect to the Seatalk
bus and will require that you run a new wire to the instrument pod. The
solid laminate and flat bottom of a 320 hull makes an ideal combination
for an in-hull transducer. No new holes in the bottom required!
