[C320-list] midship Cleats

I have a need to install midship Cleats on my C320

The backing plate is the big question ...
particularly getting to the narrow toe rail.

Another option would be to position the midship Cleat in from the toe rail,
but this is not my preferred point.

Any advice on the backing plate and otherwise would be appreciated.
