No the rudder was on the edge of the sand bank and stayed free and clear.
Another 5 or 10 feet of anchor rode (or noticing it a few minutes earlier)
and it would have been just another day at the beach.  The water was just so
still and the sand so soft we didn't even feel it touch down.

Looks like you have 'one of the wing' keels. Did your rudder take any sand?
