[C320-list] Reefer Blanket

Adding a small cooling fan from a computer makes a
huge difference in the current draw and efficiency of
the reefer. These run on 12 volts and use a
negligable amount of current. Install it to blow air
from the freezer across the length of th top of the
reefer. This induces a circulation of cold air that
lowers and evens out the overall temp of the reefer.
Without the bottom of the reefer is almost freezing
and the top is barely cool. Since the thermostat is at
the top, it keeps calling for the compressor.

Try it with a cheap battery operated fan and a
thermometer, then time your cycles. it is amazing.

For long trips in hot weather, I also freeze up a
couple of blocks of ice using a pair of small dish
tubs (aprox. 2-3 gallon size that fit in the
sink)purchased for that use.

They fit in the cooler and in the refer quite nicely.
