Mark,

   On the END where the tube enters the fitting, you'll see what looks like
a plastic washer surrounding the tube.  Press IN on that ring, and pull the
water line out of the fitting.

When reassembling, press the tube into the fitting.  THEN Push the pipe in
hard a SECOND time and it'll pop in past the O-Ring seat.  If you don't do
this second step, it'll probably leak or pop apart under pressure.

How do the white unions in the water lines operate.  I have tried pushing, 
pulling, twisting and swearing and still have not been able to get them 
apart.
