[C320-list] Non-wood Hatch Boards

Why? Although you won't have TMT (that's Too Much Teak) any more, you
will get other problems (in the Admirals opinion, ANY teak is TMT).

Catalina doesn't use plastic (read that Starboard) as their hatch
boards because, god forbid, if you fall into them real hard, they CAN
bend enough to pop through and into the cabin with you following hard
on their (as it were) heels. For this reason, Catalina considers this
to be a safety concern. I sail on a 10 year old S2 7.9 with starboard
hatch boards. For at least the past eight years, the boards have been
warped and crazed and look like heck (and this is in Holland, MI, a
place where a professional astronomer would starve if he only got fed
when he could see the sun).

IMHO, Although initially, Starboard hatch boards will look real sharp,
soon you will reflect fondly of the days when you had teak hatch
boards.

BTW, I think you will need to make them yourself.
