How do you attach 'em?

I've found webbing at Sailrite.com #4532 1" Royal Blue, 6000lbs, $0.60/ft.  Any better source?

I guess they can be attached to the bow and stern cleats.  How best to attach? Loop & tie, or what.

How about a source for teathers?  Anyone made them?  I'd rather not pay $100+ for them.
