To All,

I want to thank everyone for their input on how to change the fuel/water filter. The suggestions were all very helpful.

I want to make everyone aware that you do not need to close the fuel valve on top of the tank. Someone suggested that but with my body I could not reach it. Additionally I did not think that Catalina would do something so stupid as to put a shut off valve for changing a filter where you can't reach it. I have discovered that if you unscrew the pump on top of the filter (thumb screw) and pull the pump up, it shuts off the flow of fuel, allowing you to empty the filter and replace it. Some people have installed a valve just in front of the Raycor filter, but it is totally redundant unless you want to completely change the filter housing.
